The Swedish Steel Prize is awarded for innovative designs in high strength steels. The aim of the prize is to inspire and disseminate knowledge about high strength steels and the possibilities they provide to develop lighter, safer and more environmentally-friendly products.

Cortus has succeeded for the first time, in a 500 kW gasification plant, to produce synthesis gas from biomass without traces of hydrocarbons.
It has previously not been possible to produce completely pure biogas from biomass without generating impurities of hydrocarbons. This has been a problem for both producers and users of biogas.

It all began at a design exhibition in Fagersta during the summer of 2010. Johan Karlsson from the Formens Hus in Hällefors was there. He had previously thought about an emergency building made of cardboard. Meanwhile, Anette Eriksson, head of Tillväxtgruppen in Fagersta was also there. “What if you could do something great with tubes developed at the Roll Forming Center?” said Annette.

VINNOVA decides that the application of Triple Steelix is granted for the following reasons: Triple Steelix is very successful and has created real results in the form of new companies and products but also systemic changes. The winner of the 2011 Swedish Steel Prize will be announced on November 17. Four finalists have been nominated for the prize for the best design in high strength steel. The jury has selected innovations for agriculture and occupational safety, along with an arena construction project.

Partner is a high-tech companies with California as its base. SITAB will, in this cooperation, to have access to solar cells and battery technology - important complement to SITAB own development efforts in recycling and storage of energy!
The initiative will involve a wide range of products of the conversion, storage and recycling of energy in various forms. There are plans for an umbrella company that will include operations with manufacturing of solar, wind and hydrogen technologies.
